BURNEY RAIDERS AT U-PREP
(SEPTEMBER 12, 2008) 8:34 | The University Prep Panthers of Redding defeated the Burney Raiders 10-7 in the Panthers’ first varsity home game in school history. The Raiders had a chance to force overtime, but Dylan Harrington’s field goal attempt with 30 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter sailed right and Burney’s preseason record falls to 1-2. Panther quarterback Chris Kofford connected with Cody Ruddell for a 21-yard touchdown and Kelly Crowley kicked a 30-yard field goal for a 10-0 first quarter lead. Burney’s Coby Smith picked off a Krofford attempt and took it to the house to put the Raiders on the board. Video by Richard Allan.
