(SEPTEMBER 19, 2008) 6:24 | In their first home game of the season, the Fall River Bulldogs jump out to a quick 16-0 lead and went on to defeat the Maxwell Panthers 48-0 in a preseason matchup Friday night. The Bulldogs will start league play with a 2-1 record as the Panthers fall to 0-4. Ryan Stephenson scored the touchdowns and was the leading rusher for the Bulldogs with 104 yards on 18 carries followed by Nate Gilligan with 103 yards on 14 hauls. Bulldog quarterback Taylor Sloat was near perfect, completing 9-of-10 pass attempts for 134 yards and two TDs. The Fall River JVs won their game, 18-0. Video by Todd Brown.
